Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 2 - Verse 38

sukha-duhkhe same kritva labhalabhau jayajayau
tato yuddhaya yujyasva naivam papam avapsyasi

Translation: 

Maintain equanimity when faced with happiness and distress, gain and loss, victory and defeat – fight, and in this way you will not incur impiety.

Translation: 
Commentary: 
Arjuna’s social position was that of a kshatriya, a member of the warrior class. As such, it was Arjuna’s solemn duty to uphold righteousness and to protect the kingdom from aggressors. By law and social decree, Arjuna and his brothers were the rightful heirs to the throne, yet the throne had been usurped by his uncle Dhritarashtra. Arjuna, his wife Draupadi, his mother Kunti and his brothers Yudhishthira, Bhima, Sahadeva and Nakula had all been forcibly exiled from the kingdom. ...continue reading »
