Vedic Science & History
(High Quality Print)

Almost everyone, including scientists, religionists and philosophers, are apparently in pursuit of truth. Yet, what is truth and how do we find it? Scientists have complete confidence in the scientific process, yet, we see that the latest theories are eventually replaced by more advanced theories. Every theory, they say, is a step closer to perfection, but they never assert that they have reached perfection. When the scientific community truly comes of age it will see that the Vedic knowledge, its seers and practitioners are their real friends and partners in the search for ultimate truth and have been so for several millennia.

This book – Vedic Science and History, gives a detailed overview of the various contributions of Indian civilisation and it is our hope that this will help the reader discover and appreciate the many wondrous scientific contributions of the ancient Vedic culture of India.

Swami B.B. Vishnu (David H. Osborn) graduated from Clarkson College of Technology, Potsdam, New York in 1968 with a Master of Science degree in Physics. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio, in 1965. As a candidate for a doctorate (Ph. After the passing of Prabhupada in 1977, Swami Vishnu met Swami B. G. In 1986 Swami Vishnu received the order of sannyasa and the title ‘Swami’ from Swami Narasingha. Swami Vishnu was the associate editor and Sanskrit editor of magazines such as Clarion Call , Gaudiya Vedanta and Saranagati and is currently the science editor and writer for Gaudiya Touchstone e-magazine. Book Reviews

I enjoyed readingVedic Science & History. It will be a very valuable resource to those who wish to understand the scientific underpinnings of the Vedic culture and civilization. I recommend it strongly.
— Dr. Subhash Kak (Computer scientist,  Author of "In Search of the Cradle of Civilization", and "The Architecture of Knowledge")

Vedic science is unique in that it comprehends both physics and metaphysics in a single reality of consciousness, within time and space and beyond time and space simultaneously. Swami Vishnu has provided a detailed account of Vedic Science, its history and relevance today, in a clear and concise manner that will transform your view of knowledge and awaken a deeper inspiration within you!
— Dr. David Frawley (Padma Bhushan Vamadeva Shastri), D. Litt

Swami Vishnu has done an excellent job of providing the evidence to show how profound and progressive early Vedic culture was, how many scholars throughout the world were impressed with what Vedic civilization offered, and how many contributions to human development originated from the Vedic traditions and sciences it introduced. This books provides the information that much of the world is forgetting regarding how important Vedic culture was and still is to humanity at large. This book is an important contribution to our research on early Indian civilization, and deserves to be in every researcher's library, and read by everyone who appreciates Vedic and Indian history."
— Stephen Knapp (Author of over 30 books on various aspects of Vedic tradition)
